Rev. Peter Funesti's Installation - Oct 5th, 2008

This is what I wrote on the back of my Installation Mass Booklet.

From the beginning of my call to the priesthood of Jesus Christ, the scripture passage from Matthew 5:15-16 has made a deep impression on me. As my awareness of the Light of the Holy Spirit within me grew, the realization became increasingly clear that I must find the best way of shining the Light of that Spirit for the good of all, as well as for my own personal fulfillment.

By God's grace and invitation, I have chosen the priesthood as the lampstand on which to place my life as a vessel from which I pray the Lord will shine His Light to illuminate the world for the Glory og God and His people.
